Installed the mongoose and a new Ford Racing Nodular flywheel, from stop the clutch slips quite a bit and almost every time in reverse. It slips enough that I can smell it. After about 10 minutes of stop and go the clutch grabs fine.

Is this just part of the wearing in period?

Definitely not. Cable adjustment appears to be incorrect. What cable/quadrant setup are you using? In relation to pedal travel, where does the clutch start to disengage/engage?

Agreed, stock quad at least needs to go. You can run a triple hook aluminum quad with a firewall adjuster on your stock cable if it still is in serviceable condition.

Also, noticed your sig says 2.73 gears. With that high of a ratio, you are having to slip your clutch a bit on takeoff, so that does play a small role.

Just ordered a steeda cable and quad from LRS, also in the process of installing 3.73's.

Thank you for the responds. LRS has been a huge help in my recent build, Spent about $500 so far. I think its awesome that you monitor the forums.
