SVO block

Back in February a bought a new 302 SVO block from a guy on ebay. I picked it up since he was local. He said it was better than a regular passenger car block. He bought it years ago and never took it out of the crate. It has a 1996 date stamp and SVO block instructions in the crate. I built a 342 stroker with it and I just dropped it into the car. I should have it running in a few days.

Is this block better than a regular block? It looks very similar to my old block.

SVO block can handle more hp than standard blocks. I think they are rated at 800-900hp.

Is it an R302, A4, or Sportmans block? If it has two bolt mains then it is a Sportmans block that is rated at 600hp. The R302 and older A4 are rated at 1200+hp.
