Swap 98 to 03

Hi guys...

I am thinking on swapimg my 98 v6 engine to a new 03 v6 engine....is this a good idea? can anybody tell me if I need aditional parts? Thanks!:SNSign:

Get a split port swap kit instead. There are companies out there that sell complete packages for $500-700, they should include the heads, intake manifold, fuel rails, computer, and wiring harness. Those are the components I know need to be swapped out, and as a bonus, you'll make more power with your old cam then a 99-03 engine.

Here's RPM's split port swap kit.

Here's SSM's swap kit.

I would call whatever vendor you would want to use, find out exactly what parts you need to swap out and decide if the expense/time is worth it.

whats the power difference with the older cam?

The power difference with the older cam is small - probably 5-10 hp total (if not less). Even though it's better than the newer cam, it's not exactly an aggressive grind.
