The sensor came with the housing. It looks like my stock housing, just bigger.

If MAF sensors are not calibrated to a particular injector, why do people sell them like that? i.e. 70mm calibrated for 19# injectors.

Can my MAF be used on a Mustang? If so, what years?

People who sell Ford MAF/MAS meters as being calibrated for a particular injector... Just don't know any better.

I don't think they do it to decieve. It seems more like ignorance.
At least that is the impression I get from reading ebay posts, and what not.

The fact is Ford calibrated each MAF/MAS to the computer it was to be used with.
Ford used a different, completely separate setting in the computer for the injector size.

I think most of the confusion comes from the aftermarket.
Because the aftermarket MAF/MAS meters don't rquire a change of computer settings, they are instead calibrated for an injector size. This is a way of 'tricking' the computer into running an appropriate AFR, but can lead to poor running conditions.

Not sure if that cleared things up or not...

One bad - don't feel bad. Jason is very, very precise with his MAF and MAS references.
Most of us aren't (myself included) so it's easy to think of a given MAS/MAF correlating to a given injector size for the very reason he stated (it's kinda how the aftermarket has trained us to think, due to the way that they do their computer trickery).

Okay. I get what you are saying.

What size injector would this MAF workw best with?

An 80mm MAF will not work on any Fox Mustang, regardless of injector size.
Unless a custom tune can be used to alter the settings in the computer.

Your best option is to sell the 80mm. With that money you should be able to find a 70mm MAF with an F2VF sensor.
This MAF will work on A9* series computers, as long as the stock 19lb injectors are used.

You will get the best response selling that MAF from tuners, because they have the ability to manipulate the settings in the computer.
Any tuning forum should work.
