Swapped My Quarter Windows Today (Pics)

So I've had a set of mint 93 quater windows sitting in my room for over a year now and today I felt ambitious enough to put them in. I've never liked the small quarter widows on the pre 87's with the plastic stepped piece behind them so now they are history. Breathe easy everyone. An aero nose is nowhere in this car's future. There's a link to the pics below if you want to check it out. I actually only got one side done, but you'll get the point. Pictures are in reverse order so if you want the play by play start at the bottom.

Much better, now if you go get some trim black from the store and spray all the trim and mouldings it will look like a new car.

Yes, the trim is in dire need of help. The whole thing needs body work and paint, but I need the cash to do it right first.

Sure I'd be willing to part with it. I've only got one side complete at the moment, but I should have the other one done next weekend. Hit me with a pm so I don't forget who you are and I'll let you know when I get the other side done.

Did you get the interior trim from an 87+ car? If not your trim wont match up and there will be a big gap. I think it looks good but I prefer the 79-86 sail panels because they complement the more angular lines of the 79-86 4 eyed noses better.

If you don't care what your interior looks like then it doesn't matter, but if you want it to look right you need the 87+ interior panels.

Read this thread for more details.

Nope I don't have 87+ interior trim panels. I heard back in the day that there would be a gap but I'll have to put the stockers back in and see what it looks like.

Yep. My buddy owned the car back in 1996 when we were still in high school and we were sick of looking at the stock ugly rusty looking drums so we painted them a "Ford" blue color. Ha! They won't be on there much longer though. I'm converting to 5 lug discs.

They look real nice. I actually like the old ones because they don't have the rubber that deteriorates. The old ones could always be prepped and repainted. HMMM, can u put pre 87 1/4 windows in a 87-93? Maybe that is the way to go
