I have PST 1 3/8 swaybar and I just installed a Supercharger but when the car is jacked up the swaybar hits the altenator? Has anyone running a bigger swaybar and supercharger had this problem? And I did do a search and got nothing even close.

Thanks

do you have pictures i cant even picture this. i would imagine that the alt. is below the smog pump now cause of the blower right? throw the sway bar away or dont jack the car way up. i dont run a sway bar. do you road race?

I think the blower takes the place of the alternator's original location, and relocates it someplace lower, presumably either deleting or squeezing right under the smog pump (somehow). Most of the S/C kits I've seen (excluding Roots-type) have the blower mounted in the top-left or top-right area of the motor...

My stock sway bar when I jack up the car hits my alternator. When not jacked I only have maybe 1" clearance.

hm... your engine should jack up with the car.... i dont see why jacking it up from the k-member would cause any shifting of parts other than the wheel assemblies dropping due to suspension movement

...get something checked out bro, motor mounts? something...

Nice too see that u just wrote about me!! Thank you! Looks like if the swaybar was to hit the alt, then it would also be damn close to the crank pulley. Im mostly into all motor hp/tq. i was thinking about adding a procharger but not now that i know this.

As for writing about you, you are welcome. I'll also be glad to do it again the next time you make fun of a person that has a legitmate problem with their car which you know nothing about. This forum is help one another, not make fun of people with legitimate tech questions.
