I've been trying to diagnose a power problem where the car heats up it feels crappy. The exhaust smells pretty sweet, not really like gas. Please don't tell me i have a blown hg...please? Is there anything else it can be?

Does it smoke at all (particularly white)? The only thing I can think of that smells sweet is antifreeze. . . .

Check for water in the oil or vice versa. . .

sounds like me that its a blown HG. I mean, you say it overheats>=? does it lose coolant over time? Thats classic HG symptoms

It does not overheat at all. This is why I think its an intake gasket, that and im in denial.

it could be just an intake gasket, only way to find out tho is to rip into it

if you have some extra$ to spend i would get a ported lower (tmoss) or get a nice cobra intake..btw i have two stock lowers ill let go for cheap so you dont have to send yours away

like others have said tho, any coolant in the oil? is the oil milky? can you see any oil spots in the coolant?

Simple test. Check your oil for milk chocolate.

Also do a pressure test on the cooling system. That will tell you if you have a leak. AZ can do it for you.

If you are leaking coolant into the piston, it may not be getting into the oil system, but it usually does.
