I need switched power for the fan controller I'm installing. It doesn't take much power. It's only a control signal, not the fan power itself. I prefer switched power from under the hood, but I can run something from inside if necessary. Where is the easiest place to pick up switched power?

Switches power from what? How are you controlling it? Just vehicle on power?

If so, you can tap power off the low coolant sensor plug in front drivers side, or another way if you have an LX is to install a GT headlight switch and use the fog lamps as power on.

Both methods should only be used to trigger a relay or controller. No high current

Yes, just vehicle on power. Won't be high current.

The low coolant level sensor power is right there handy near the radiator.

Thanks for all the info. I've temporarily decided to upgrade to a mechanical fan. I'll save this info as I plan to go back to an electric fan in the future.
