Sylvania Silverstars vs. all other Xenon bulbs

Anyone have any input as to any other HID "look alike" bulbs that are better than Sylvania's Silverstar? Those that are close to pure white light....not very blue or purple looking. I am only interested in those halogen bulbs that draw the stock 45/65 watts. Pics would be great? THX

The ricer bulbs do not last long at all.... get the silverstars, they are exactly what you are looking for, with the reliability of a stock bulb.

Well, I wouldn't go that far.................. When I was using them, I could only get them to last 6 months - started getting expensive replacing them that often.

I bought the silverstars for my wifes caranvan, and they are no better than stocks in that,, waste of $40.00 in my opinion,, may be better in stangs... I had piaa's in my car and my wifes and neither lasted over 1 year,$110 for mine $90 for hers,,, absolute junk.. don't buy those....!!!

I got a set of the blue xenons and got rid of them, supposedly 80/100. They were worse than stock. I swapped out the SilverStars and I love them. Nothing but clean clear WHITE light. I only paid $40 for mine on ebay ...

So it appears Silverstars are the better choice. Any other comments would be appreciated.

Dude like i told ya on the phone... At jersey performance, the guy is kinda friends with me soo he let me test every bulb he had to see which one i liked and which would make a difference over the silverstars... When i first got the silverstars, they were significantly brighter then stock, but NOT pure white.. they had a pinkish purple tint to them when let..... Soo after trying about 5 different pairs of bulbs out and not being satisfied because the silverstarts were brighter I came across them Eurolite bulbs and they were MUCH brighter then the silverstars, with the 65/45 watt draw putting out 110 i think.. Ill try to take a pic, but for now i can tell you their much brighter then the silverstarts with a SLIGHT blue tint to them... I shooda showed you when you came over.... orrrr if you come sat for the wing.... I can tell you their really nice bulbs and they're made by Toucan

Im using a "cool blue ultra white bulb" (I know that sounds wierd)
I bought a Sylvania's Silverstar and put it on the passenger side to compare. Well the Sylvania looked way more yellowish then my bright whites.

Have you thought about changing the headlights themselves? The diamond or projector headlights put out a better light pattern, even with the cheap stock bulbs.

Yeah your right, I have the clear cobra style on my 95vert and it made a big difference.

My reciept is at home (Im at work). If I remember right they were about $9.00 each. I think I bought them thru Procarparts.com Im not sure though, it was a long time ago.

Victor... the cool blues are made by sylvania... they are the next step BELOW silverstars.. I saw them in pep boys but got the silverstars instead... my friend did have the cool blues before i gave em my silverstars... the silverstars gave it a more white look and i THINK the silverstars are brighter

XtraVision is the next step below the Silverstars. Cool Blue is then next and I don' think those are the bulbs DavidF is referring to because I doubt they should be brighter than the Silverstars.
