T-45 getting hot.........

Hey guys ,I notice that my trany is getting hot, I was driving the car two days a go and I grab the shifter down lower by the boot and felt pretty hot down there,I never notice this before so I am not sure if this is normal,or my trans is getting hot for some reason.

Pretty normal actually, especially with warmer weather coming. Mustangs tend to run a little hot in the trans area since th head from the H-pipe tends to collect there. I notice it on my Fox Mustang and my GT. If i cruise around on a warm day with shorts on and the windows down, my right leg will start to feel warm after a while.

If it will make you feel better, check the fluid level in your trans. Just unscrew the top fill plug and check to see if the level is up to the plug. If it is, you are good to go.

Sound advice. I just wanted to add, be sure you are parked on as level a surface as possible to obtain an accurate reading.

The level is fine,I just change the fluid two weeks a go,
RP MAX ATF,I hope this fluid is O.K for a T-45 trans.........-
