T-45 Problem, Need Help!

I was recently drag racing at the local dragstrip, and on my last run when I shifted from first to second (not powershifting), I lost second. I finished the run in 3rd, and came back in the turn around lane in third as well. When I stopped for the timeslip, I put it into first, where it is currently stuck. It feels very loose when the shifter is in the first and second gear positions, but when I put it into third, fourth, fifth, and reverse, I can feel it go into gear. It basically stuck in first, and when I go to shift into other gears, it binds because it is in 2 gears at one time. I pretty much narrowed it down to a linkage problem just by that scenario.

My question is, what are some common problems with the T-45's? Do the linkages bend or break? I know it is possible, and I'm not ruling out anything so if you have any ideas that you think will be helpful, please voice your mind.

I plan on taking the trans out this weekend and taking it apart to inspect it. Do you have any tips on taking it apart as in what to look for in terms of wear indications and just generally problems to look for? I've already taken the Steeda Tri-ax out just to make sure something with it didn't go wrong, which wasn't the case.

I really do appreciate the help. Prior to that run I made my personal best pass of 8.71 in the 8th.

Def. would appreciate the PDF's!! A TKO would be sweet, but the funds just aren't there my friend. I'm thinking about having my current transmission cryogenically frozen though. I know that would help drastically with the strength of the tranny.

Ya you broke your 1st/2nd gear shift fork. They're crap lol. I broke my third gear one. It was stuck in 3rd I had to start out in third up hill lol. Poor stock clutch. 400 bucks around here for a rebuild. I would like the PDF as well for when mine breaks again lol. Not sure about the cryo treating. i've heard of it but i have no idea where to get it done or anything like that or how much it costs for such a thing. Good luck.

trannies are a pain to rebuild and you should have a pro do it or else there could be bigger problems if something is a bit off. i broke a fork in mine (as well as some other stuff). just do yourself a favor and replace with a TKO 500/600 and never worry about it again.
