Ok i have a AODE right now, and its ****.

Theres a WC T-5 swap kit and 4r70w out of a 2003 V6 with 60,000km in it with shift kit for sale local. and their both going for 600$ obo

i'm confused on what to get. which one is easier to swap in?

4r would be "easier" to swap, as you don't have to do pedals, cable, FA,BH etc.....it would be a personal preference...I thought about it for a long time when I killed my stock aode.....finally made the choice to buy a built aode...I figure it came with it...what the hell....I've got a stock 50 with a stick...maybe one day I'll do the swap...but not real soon..lol

i've been doing some research. i see you need to swap, some wires, electrical internals? how hard is that?

It's hard to find some to help me to do this swap.

the T5 is much more fun to drive.
auto you can just jump in and drive while holding a hot coffee.
the aode would be easier to swap out for the 4r70w,but the vss is different between the two.there may be other differences, but i know it's not a straight plug and play swap.
if the T5 swap kit is complete, and you have the tools and knowledge, you can knock that out in a day.it took me about 9-10 hrs straight to complete the swap by myself.first time i've done the swap.
make sure you do your research on how to perform the swap and on the parts in the swap kit your looking at.

either way,good luck.

Glad to hear you got the problem fixed, here's my ditty on the transmissions...

I'm a believer in the 4R70W, but it is NOT a magic bullet. For a car under 350rwhp I would strongly consider a stick. The autos will really sap some horsepower and fuel mileage.

I dyno'd two nearly identical cars back to back - the combos are trickflow with stage 1 cams. The tuning was nearly identical, with the only difference being AFR tweaked for each car to make the most power. The hp difference was roughly 50hp between the T5 and the auto.

If you've got big mods planned then going to an auto may be something you want to consider. If the car will stay a daily driver and you aren't adverse to a stick shift then a swap might be a good plan.

My 2c,
Wes
