t-5 out of 86 Camaro

I'm shopping for a trans and found a t-5 from an 86 maro. Anyone know how it compares to the t-5 from a stang? i have a bellhousing for the 5.0.

Non-World Class and the shifter is in the wrong location. It's way too far forward. You'll need to change half the trans to make it work.

the gear box will bolt up to your tail shaft and then it will work. I have one from a 85 Camaro and the Borg Warner box is the same

also... camaro t5s bolt to the bellhousing at a 15* angle, and "must be set at an angle to luberacate properly" (according to some camaro book my friend has) but i think it will work just fine straight up.

they're actually quite rare now and worth a good penny...buy it and ebay it.

I have one....should i sell it. I had it given to me I was just going to take it apart to gain some T-5 experience
