I took the tailshaft off to replace the bushing, seal, and VSS sensor. Of course it wouldn't go back on. So I have removed the lid to place everything back in neutral. I think it is stuck in fifth gear because the input & output shaft are spinning about the same speed. How do I get it out of gear? The rod will not move. I've tried tapping it, prying on it, putting the lid back on and using the forks. Any ideas?
