Ok heres my deal..single full time dad..Dont have much time to search for the parts indivudaly is there a place that sells a aode to t 5 swap kit? I can find it but only for classic stangs.

Will a 94~98 5 speed swap in and bolt up to the 5.0 in my 95? Does the 94+3.8 5 speed have the correct Tailshaft or whatever it is thats the deal between the 94-95 t5 and 87~93 t5

I bought my parts individually from several sites like 50resto,maximummotorsports, summit and a junkyard. I've had no problems with my swap except for the driveshaft rub but ill be taking care of that soon with adjustable LCAs.Got the clutch pedal assembly from MPSautosalvage.and dont 4get a engine block plate because the auto one wont work.

I got my 94/95 t5 from corral for 250, pedals for 50 and bellhousing for 75 but Ive been piecing it together slowly. If youre in a rush mpssalvage.com sells the complete kits though they seem a bit pricey to me.

Anyone know of any good sites that give me a break down on all the parts I need? Still anyone know if a 3.8 5 speed will work/bolt up? Seems theres a ton of those 3.8 5 speed in junkyards in my area but not many gt 5 speeds Thanks!

before i did mine I was told that 3.8 bellhousing would work for my T-5. Wrong!! We ran into some issues with the engine block plate, starter and B-housing not lining up. So i think itz best to stick to 5.0 parts 94/95 only or all 93 and lower parts but can't mismatch. And though MPSautosalvage might have a kit, you're better off getting new parts rather than used parts.

Some parts definitely get new. Pilot bearing, clutch, pressure plate, cable. But stuff like the bellhousing new wont be any better than an old bellhousing. Not to mention you cant get a new bellhousing from Ford anymore. Or the transmission wiring harness. The tranny. Well some people prefer new. I got a used T5 with low miles and Im just going to rebuild it. Its easy enough. Any 94 or 95 spec tranny will just be a reman anyways which is rebuilt internally and painted to look nice. If youre shooting for a Tremec or TKO then thats another story. What is your budget for this?

The parts for the swap will include (and if I forget any Im sure someone will chime in)

T5 (preferably 94/95 though Fox body ones can be used with a fox bellhousing)
Bellhousing (applicable to the year of the tranny)
Block plate
Pedal assembly (94/95)
Clutch quadrant (you could be lucky like me and get an aftermarket quadrant with the pedal assembly)
Clutch cable (stock Ford ones are generally the strongest though theyre getting harder to find and the price has went way up. Maximum motorsports cables are generally perceived as good alternatives)
Clutch fork (year applicable)
Clutch fork pivot stud (again you may be lucky and score one in the bellhosuing but if its worn theyre cheap enough to replace
Clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing (personal preference, usually picked up as a kit, definitely dont go used. Kits also include the alignment tool normally)
Flywheel (Id go new but a used can be resurfaced. Youll need one from an 86 - 95 V8 stang, 50 oz imbalance I believe)
Transmission wiring harness (Extremely hard to find as they were only made two years from Ford. I bought three when I had the chance because I got them dirt cheap. If you need one let me know. Ebay is another place to check)
PCM (94/95 code Tm40 - This seems to be a much argued point as you can use the automatic PCM but the engine will hesitate when it senses their should be an auto shift occuring. Can be tuned out with a TwEECer etc.)
Shifter (applicable to tranny. Choices are limitless)
Shifter console trim with upper shift boot (Scored mine from corral.net . Ebays a good option also. 94 - 04 are the same though the 99 and up are charcoal instead of true black)
Lower shift boot (keeps nosie down and prevents stray rocks and dirt from getting up toward the shifter)

Hmm, Im probably forgetting something but these are the core components.

Thanks zero chance...Im hopin I dont have to do this swap till next spring as my stang is my dd while my CRX is my project(cant beleive I said that here)...I wanna keep my budget under $2500 for sure. A regular t5 will work because I dont plan to mod my stang just would like a 5 speed and maybe new ring and pinion in the future since its my DD I dont care to mod it much

Thats a very good article, makes me want to complete the swap even more. I was under the impression you NEEDED the t5 harness. Looks like Ill put the rest of them on ebay. My last big decision I guess is what shifter to go with.
