T-5 Swap

Okay, Pilot shaft bearing. One side has a small blue seal in it. Should this seal face the transmission, or the engine?

Ahh, I can't remember which way it is now. Easiest way to find out is to just slip the bearing over the nose of the input shaft.

Well, I did this. Writing (and seal) facing trans. I wish I had thought of that before installing it in the crank. Fingers crossed.

You did it right. The seal is there to keep the bearing lubricant in and dirt and clutch dust out so it doesn't harm the bearing.

correct, Seal goes Toward the motor.. I hope you greased it good before you put it in though.

DONE!!! And I have to say, this car is 100% more fun to drive. But I have a few problems. One, the pedal is too tight. The clutch will slip when all the way out. Two, when you first start the car, there is a noise like the computer beeping out error codes for about one minute, then it stops. Is this what that is? or did I some how bring an old security system circut back to life?

You need a billet quad and firewall adjuster, makes the clutch work SOOO much better.
