T-5 Tranny Leak

 First trip to the track, first pass, tranny still leaking. I have replaced the rear output shaft seal, tightened all the bolts of the output shaft housing, even drained a little fluid out in case it was overfull(?). Checked the speedo cable connection area - dry around there. Checked the shifter seal at the top - dry there as well. All the fluid appears to be at the rear of the tranny and not running down from the top anywhere. The only possible place that I can think it is still leaking from is the tailshaft seal (which I replaced). The leak only occurs when I race the car, it doesn't leak when daily driving. Seems if there was a crack in the housing or something similar, it would not reseal itself whern driving normal. I called a tranny shop today, the guy said that maybe the bushing in the tailshaft is worn, causing the rear seal to leak when the car is raced ? The tranny only has 66,000 km on it however the guy says the bushing still could be worn. Anybody experienced this before. Sorry for the long story but this has driving me nuts ! Help please, thanks.

Yeah tailshaft bushing was the first thing that came to mind here. The seal only works when the shaft is in the right position; if you have it seriously loaded and it's wandering too far to the sides then it gets away from the seal.

If you get under the car and grab the driveshaft, you should not be able to wiggle it up and down...
