transmision whines when i push in clutch and put into first or reverse. but as soon as i let off the clutch a little bit to get the car to barely move the whining stops does anyone have a clue on what it could be. brand new clutch cable, throw out bearing and the clutch is aligned properly. gear oil level is good as well.if anyone can give me feed back it would be appreciated.

If it's doing it when you push in the clutch, it's probably the throwout bearing even though you just replaced it. As far as when it's in 1st or reverse, mine started doing that a few weeks before it popped out of first gear when I stepped on the gas from about 5 mph. It's done that twice. My brother had a whine in his, too, and when he would park it at night in 1st or reverse, sometimes he would come out in the morning and the car was out of gear and rolled down the driveway (no e-brake hooked up at the time).
