Does anyone know what is involved in installing a T 56 in a 1967 Mustang?
1) Know where I can get a cross member for the car other than the link below?
http://www.dvsrestorations.com/mar05.htm
2) Does anyone have experience with the posted cross member?
3) Will the transmission fit under the floor boards or will it have to be modified?
4) Any other installation advice would be appreciated. It is going onto a 427.

I am pretty handy but have never swapped out a tyranny.

I would suggest a call to darkhorse performance. They have the correct crossmember and the floor patch panel you'll need. I did this in my 66 so I cant say for certain but I imagine you'll have to raise the floor to get your driveline angle corrected. Notice how much higher the t 56 is after the bellhousing. I would suggest it though as you would have a hard time breaking it.

Same suggestion as Shakin66. You need to raise a portion of the tunnel for the correct DL angle. Darkhorse Performance has what you need.
