T-56 on 97 cobra motor?

I was wondering if a T-56 tranny from a 2000GT will fit on a 97 Cobra motor??? Any comments are welcome

The T-56 was only in the 2003 Cobra's, they have never been introduced in any other models..But to answer a T-56 question, they will bolt up as long as your working with a 4.6 bellhousing...One out of a viper or corvette would even work, just change your bellhousing..

What transmissions do the 99+GT's have in them?

either a t-45 or a t-3650, the 01 cobra has the 3650, and then all the 02+ gt's have it if i remember correctly. the 03/04 cobta and i believe the 2000 cobra R has the t56

Actually the 2000 Mustang does have a T-56 trans installed in it. The model that has it is called the Cobra R.
