T-Top numbers?

Even though Ford contracted with Cars & concpets for installation of the T-roof option, that option still had an order code. Of course Ford has that infomation. Why would they not? What manufacturer would not keep records of sales data such as that? Ford may have the T-roof numbers but they'll not just give them out to anybody that contacts them and asks for it. A few people managed to get detailed info out of F/L/M way back then, but not anymore. You will have to pay big bucks and sign lots of legal papers, like Marti Auto (.com) has, or have somebody "sneak" info out for you like other people have done that have published books or that charge you for one-page production reports. The latter group of people have limited production info, though, which only includes certain model years and VINs and their data is by bdystyle, engine (2.3T and 5.0L only), exterior color, and interior trim. Marti Auto has very detailed reports, but only available through the '79 model year so far. They also have "Eminger" invoices (copies of original invoice) but some batches are missing or not found yet. You can get a free report from Ford's Customer Relationship Center for your specific vehicle but those reports sometimes are horribly inaccurate.
