T45 removal- new clutch and flywheel

So which way is the easiest to remove the tranny; unbolt tranny from bell-housing, remove then unbolt bell-housing from motor? Or just unbolt bell-housing from motor and remove with tranny? I plan to replace my clutch and flywheel in my driveway in a week. So whatever tips n tricks you may have would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the T-45 bellhousing to transmission bolts are on the inside of the bellhousing. Meaning, you have no choice but to take it off all together.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You don't unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing for the T-45. There are 11 bolts (if I remember correctly), that you need to remove. The tranny will then be able to be slid back and removed exposing clutch/flywheel/pp.

So to answer one of your questions, "just unbolt bell-housing from the motor and remove the tranny".

I did mine in the garage with just floor jack and stands.

I just did mine 3 times.. swapping from an auto. What worked very well for me was get the car up on jackstands... and when you pull the trans crossmember put a jack under the crankshaft pulley and use it to tilt the motor backwards. Then it should slide right off the dowels no problem.
Took me 45 minutes from scratch to have my entire trans on the ground.

Do you guys put the whole car on jackstands (front & rear) or just raise the front?

Front only on jack stands. Also tilted the engine down at the tranny. Works perfect. Tilting the engine and having various long extensions is a must for the top two bolts.

I bought SUV jackstands so I easily lifted the entire car off the ground 2 feet... its nice!
