T45 vs Tremec 3650

I know the 96-98 Cobras use the T-45. Maybe it's "beefier" since we can revv to 7000rpm, but its still a weak transmission, so I doubt it. Mine had to be rebuilt at 46000 miles, right when I bought the car.

T-45 is not that bad I've actually heard of them lasting longer than some of the 3650's and vice versa.

If your already on your 3rd tranny I'd forgo the T-45 or 3650 and go with a TKO will cost a little more but you won't be swapping it out in the nearby future

if you get the TKO it has a better tq value...something like 425...but it will feel a lot more like you're notching through gears rather than shifting...still a very strong unit...and if you've gone through 3 trannies it's time to start thinking that something else is causing them to go bad...

The tremec has a higher torque capacity.
