Anyone know what clutch fork boot to use on a T5 bellhousing that has been converted (using a relocating fork fulcrum kit) to use the vintage Z-bar linkage and clutch fork?

You don't.

It's just a dust cover, don't sweat it.

He's using the T-5 bellhousing. The boot is a metal plate. When installed, it won't allow you to put the Z bar in.

He's gotta leave it open.

How?

The early style boot isn't remotely the same size or shape as the 5.0 style?

You've obviously made it work. I'm just curious how.

I'd be interested to know

I've got a cable now so it doesn't matter, but when I did my swap in 1997 I had both bellhousings next to each other and it wasn't remotely close.

How could I forget?

Actually, that's not true. I saw that you fit 'em, and could see that the sidewalls weren't all slashed, so I decided to figure out how you did it. Butt grease is a wonderful thing.

No, seriously, I'd be interested to know what they did for a boot.

HOPEFULLY, I'll have some time this weekend to get under the car and look at the boot and take nap on some concrete.
