t5 conversion.

I have a1965 mustang and I am instaling a 1989 5.0 with a t5 trany I got the motor part taken care of. my question is has any body done cable clutch and the cross member with out odering from some one else ? I have all the tools to do this my self but if some got some good ideas and measurment. they will help me. thanks

welcome to the board. check out www.mustangsteve.com for a how to on the cable clutch, he sells 'em pretty cheap too, the crossmember shouldn't be too difficult as long as you are good with a welder. sorry i can't help much more than that but i'm sure at elast a couple other people will chime in with some measurements and specs

I am currently doing the same conversion and I bought Mustang Steve's complete master Kit... Do a search on this site. There is a wealth of info out there that will answer your questions...

Hopefully 3spd on floor will pop in here. I know he is doing the T-5 to his car(a 66), and he made his own crossmember.
