Hey guys, sorry to make another post about this, but the shift forks and the tailhousing are giving me fits. I read on another post last night to pull on the 5th gear rod a bit, and the tailhousing will drop. Well the tailhousing will find home, but it then jams the shift forks and I cant rotate the shift fork rod on the top cover to the left (looking from the tailhousing side.) When I put the shifter on, I also can't unfreeze it to gain access to the 1-2 side of shifting. If I get it back to where I can though, the tailhousing won't slide completely on. Do I have something wrong or am I just too impatient and need to mess with this more? Thanks.

Noone have any ideas? I got it to go to the 1-2 side once, but once I worked to 5th and reverse, it was back to being locked from the 1st and 2nd forks. Completely stumped, any ideas would be a tremendous help. There is this piece that looks like a snap washer goes on, can anyone commment?

I am posting on an iPhone, so it's tough for me to be detailed.

Did you touch the main cover shift linkages at all? If you did, are you 100% sure you replaced them correctly?

Donyou have some more pics? Specifically the underside of the top cover and how all the gears sit when in neutral?

Download the free manual.

See http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English/onlineorder/product.asp to download a FREE service manual for T5 or Tremec 3550/TKO
You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer which is also a free download – http://get.adobe.com/reader/
The manual is a 4.2 MB PDF file and if you have DSL or cable TV internet, it will take less than 10 minutes.

That will not cost you anything and may provide you with exactly what you need. See pages 6-8 through 6-11 in the manual for help.
