yea dude if ATF is syrup, then gear oil is molasses or something else really thick, i wouldn't put anything is your tranny that it wasnt designed for (e.g. gear oil) so buy about 7 quarts of ATF (the syrup stuff) and flush it out good style and fill'er up. its possible for the ATF to break down over time i suppose
