Hey all so I'm having a little bit of frustration and trouble with my t5 swap. I have the transmission in the bellhousing with a smidge(1/4") left to go until they are flush together and I can bolt it in. But for the life of me I cannot get it in the rest of the way..

I don't have the clutch cable connected yet. It seems to me like te bearing retainer will not go in the spot on the bellhousing.. I've shaken it, wiggled it and nothing. I swear its a curse or something Any thoughts or help that will get the rest of this swap done would be greatly appreciated

I'm not off any help on the matter but ask the same question in the 79-95 "general talk" section. The 94-95 tech doesn't get much traffic.

install the main 4 bolts that hold the transmission to the bellhousing, run them up tight, but not too tight as to put pressure on the trans. Take a long pry bar and press the clutch fork forward. Doing this will release the clutch disc and will allow you to wiggle the trans the last bit into the pilot bearing.

Thank you! I think this may solve my issue. I'm gonna try that tonight as soon as I get off. Personally I just can't believe its been this hard I've been working on it on and off for 5 days. And i did this to my old 96 v6 no problem.

Now fingers crossed it goes in so I can finish up this little project and get to my long tubes that have been sitting around
