Look for any cracking and unusual wear patterns on constants-moving parts. Replace the stock aluminum bearing retainer (or quill) if you haven't already done so. Pretty much if you have a kit with all the parts, make sure you try to use as much of them as possible (a lot of people skip the some of the special tool-required parts). Make sure the kit also includes the essentials like the seals, all the bearings and especially the blocker rings. Just use quality parts, a good amount of wheel bearing grease (mainly for initial aiding purposes), high temp RTV to seal it up, and some good synthetic ATF. Good luck!
