hi
i need to replace my old hurst shifter (look like this )

I can not decide between 3 options

1 . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

2 Buy a shifter made in China for example

3. t5 pro 5 shifter

I would rather go for one of cheaper options.
But if it's really pice of jank and I Itabaas every time I use it
I will buy it

If there is another option I'm willing to listen

MGW and life will be all good spend on quality now or spend twice and by quality later after the cheap stuff lets you down, jut my opinion.

Unless you truely can't afford anything else and your current shifter is actually broken, don't bother with the stock piece. Other than the steering wheel, the shifter is the thing you touch the most often in your car and a good shifter will make every shift better. The first mod I do on every Mustang is a Steeda Tri-Ax. The difference between them and stock is day and night. Don't cheap out.

I second the MGW. Shifts are nice and smooth and very positive. Like many people told me at first, you might hate it during the first week, but once it breaks in and you get used to it, you'll love it.

MGW also has government contracts, so that tells you their stuff is quality.

I had this same question not too long ago. Check out the thread.

I have a B&M Pro Ripper... And I am beginning to hate it. It is notchy, rattles apart from time to time and just is really starting to piss me off....

MGW is looking more & more promising....

When we bought my wife's 96 Cobra, I thought the shifter was a really crappy, worn out stock unit, so I bought a new Tri-Ax to replace it. When I took the console apart, I found out it was a B&M Ripper. I can see why you don't like it.
