T5 stuck in 4th

well thats informative....

anyway, same thing happened to me about 400 miles on fresh t5 rebuild, got stuck in fourth and then when i tried to get it out, felt like it all just came apart inside, would kind of go into neutral but no other gear, and when i tried to go from "neutral" to fourth it felt like there was now synchro

if this is similar to your case, you need to tear apart your tranny and rebuild it. my problem turned out to be that one of the three things the sliders slide back and forth on (lever-type things) broke and got jammed between slider and shaft, so good luck to you (don't go hard on aftermarket tranny rebuild kit)

it just happened out of knowhere. luckily i was 3 mins home and made it. i was going to get gears installed wed and i called him and he said he will see whats up. i just hope after a few hours for some reason it will wokr. i NEED to go to MIA tomorow

How much fluid do you have in it? Mine did it when the fluid level got too low because of a leaky rear seal and 80 + MPH on the expressway. It was interesting taking off in 4th gear from the toll, and a couple stoplights on my way to work. BTW, I had to replace that trans after that.

i changed it a week ago. bad thing i only got 1 out:bang: . full now. its a slow leaking tail seal.

Wow, for someone who blew a T-5 you sure are the happiest guy in the world.

ANyway i dunno what to tell you about those transmissions. They aren't exactly rated in a way that makes sense.

275 FT. LBS. OF TORQUE @ 400HP

WHat the hell does that mean??

To make things even more confusing, the factory T-5 is rated at 300 ft-lbs of torque.
For that much money you could buy a G-force T-5 rated at 600HP.

EDIT: Also, you have a '95, so you'll need the T-5 for a 94-95. The Fox T-5 is a little shorter unless you swap the input shaft from your busted T-5 over to it if it is still good
