T5 Tag

I just picked up an 85 gt, possibly for parts. The trans has a tag on it I've never seen before. Is it factory or does it mean something?..possibly "built" maybe? Also the floor is full of cracks and has a few wrinkles, is this something I should worry about drivability wise or just weld me up and go?

Whats the rest of the car like condition wise? Any more rust cept in the pic?
nice shovel by the way! I could have used that a few months ago.

Probably a rebuilder's tag. I've never seen that on a factory t5.


Weld up the cracks and get a good set of full length subframes on there

The car was completely rust free besides where they patched the floor without sealing...being in Iowa that's rare. I just need to decide what to do with the thing. Piece it together, part out cougar or sell it.
I'm also looking for door panels, dashboard and seats near me (central,Iowa). Red, gray or black.
