i have a 94 gt and am thinking about buy a t56 on craigslist for 750 bucks just wondering where i should go to get the rest of the parts for it i know ill need a bellhousing yoke driveshaft but is that it or is there more please help.....

I got my conversion kit and t56 from D&D Performance. I think the main things were the trany cross brace and shortened driveshaft. If you have an aftermarket driveshaft you can get it cut, if not D&D sells light aluminum drive shafts cut to length.

I had a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter in my T5 which was great but the stock shifter for the t56 didnt cover it and I gave the MGW one a shot and its just a little bit nicer. With the MGW you can angle the shifter towards your natural hand position. The shifts seem to be just as short as the Steeda, you cant go wrong with either.

On a random thought. I remember hearing that the Ford Astro vans had aluminum drive shafts that fit our cars. I'd double check on this because I could be wrong. I did read this on the internet. But if I'm right chances are you could find one in a junk yard and save yourself a s-load of money.

Good Luck, Its a durable piece.

You're probably looking at a T56 for a Camaro on Craigslist. I'm not sure that transmission will work on the Mustang. The input shaft and casing bolts might be different. I would call one of the companies that does the conversion kits and ask before you dump $750 bones on a transmission.
