First, my dash lights only turn on when the dimmer switch is on the max position, which means I had to take my dome light out cause I cant have that on while driving at night. I took out the dimmer switch and cleaned it and everything looks normal. Does this sound like a bad dimmer switch or something with the headlight switch wiring. Next my tach likes to sit a 4 grand when the car is hot. When the car is cold it will jump back and forth from normal to 4 grand. The tach fixed itself for a week and the car ran perfectly. When the tach starts acting up the car starts bucking at a certain throttle position. I took apart the tach and nothing was burnt, it looked brand new. I was thinking the TFI module on the distributor but everyone says it either works or it doesnt. Thanks for your help.

only thing i would say going by the tach bugging out when it runs ****ty is the pip or tfi since the tach runs off them, but im sure it could be something else.....Btw my Autometer tach shows X2 of the actual rpm, 2,000 rpms when it's really 1,000rpm....sometimes it goes to normal very rarely for a little bit, if I smack it it will fix itself too hah I took it apart and everything looks A-ok including the cylinder select wires in the back, kinda disappointed in Autometer, my water temp gauge has also been reading a little funky lately too.
