tach is stuck at 3500 (NO not the needle, lol)

Had my subframe connectors welded in the other day, and disconnected the battery while they were being done, but now my tach shoots up to 3500 on startup and goes to about 4000 when actually moving. Now I know that a half tach reading is a bad DIS module, but what could this be?

are you talking the RPM of the motor...or just the tac itself? kinda got lost in the wording

Sorry....just the tach. If I'm just going by what it shows, my motor is running at 3500 to 4000 rpms from idle to WOT.

whoa man that is crazy, this exact thing happened to me tonight. it goes away for a lil while if i put it in park and rev the hell out of it

Mine fixed itself tonight too, with no action on my part. Just hope it stays fixed.....
