How hard is it to install a Tachometer? I know I don't really need one, since my car has a C4, but I think it would be good to have on anyways. How hard are they to install, wire up? How do they install, and heres a good question... how do they work?
Thanks alot.

Not hard at all. There will be 4 wires: 2 to the coil, one for the instrument lighting, and a ground (IIRC, been a while since I installed a tach). It works by sensing the firing of the coil.

maybe your motor spins the wrong way

possibly the polarity was reversed on it, possibly caused by hooking the tach leads up to the wrong terminals? though i would have thought that it would just burn out if hooked up wrong. thats weird.

I only had 1 wire going to the negative terminal of the coil.

The other 3 wires were: Positive power, ground, and light switch.

Simple.
