Would the tail lights from a 79-82 stang fit on an 87-93? I want to get an LX convertible but love the look of the 79-82 tail lights.

They do not bolt right in. The tail panels are different. The holes for the bulb configurations are in different spots and the mounting stud holes are in different spots too. I put the 87-93 Mustang taillights in my 81 notchback and I spent hours cutting out metal, and welding in new metal for them to work.
