So you call 911 pretty much every trip you make? At least where I live, that's what would happen.

Your post made it sound like someone was driving recklessly. I have called the cops when I've seen reckless driving. Fortunately that doesn't happen much here.

But yeah, I slow down a little and try to let the ahole around. I like the windshield washer trick, especially if they just washed their car.

I just keep on driving...usually ignore them.

I have tapped the brake pedal with my left foot just to trigger the lights...still maintaining the same speed.

Last weekend it snowed here; we got about 8" when all was said and done. Roads didn't get cleared for the most part till after it had finished snowing that night. I had to go to a friend's house to let their dog out (was watching the dog all week) that evening. On the way to their place, with about 2-3" of packed snow on the road, there was this idiot in an old Escort flying down the road, riding up on everybody's bumper, and then going around them (mind you, it was a 2-lane road with no passing zones around). Couldn't believe this jerk...kinda woulda been nice to see him spin out of control and end up in the ditch.

I take my foot completely off of the accelerator. I have literally slowed down to 35 MPH on the expressway.

That's a bigger ass move to everyone else on the road than what the tailgater is doing. Around here, 35 mph on the expressway would get people killed.

Yea, the tailgating is dangerous and frequently practiced here in Nashville.

What really pisses me off is following a string of traffic in the middle lane, looking in the rear view mirror and finding a 60K to 80K pound loaded semi sitting 10 feet off your a$$. Does he think he can actually stop in a timely fashion? Does he really deserve a CDL???

I'm not picking on all semi drivers as some are very good at their trade, but come on!

Well my buddy's that have bikes have lug nuts so when people almost kill them they toss them at the car and cops out here say to do that, so I would toss something at them. I work nights so I don't have to deal with traffic.

I usually slow down and match the speed of the person in the inner lane. I don't usually get pissed, but I do get enjoyment out of making the person doing the tailgating really annoyed. Just food for thought, but wouldn't it be fun if you had a switch on the center console that activated an actuator opening up a canister full of really sharp jack-like objects that would deflate the tires of the person doing the tailgating. Ahh, sweet satisfaction..

The people that make me the most angry are those a-holes that rip down my street doing 45+ mph especially motorcycle drivers. I just want to throw a spike strip down, throw rocks, or follow them home and burn their house down... There are little kids all over my block...
