Well I putting my taillights back to stock. I need to know what to use to set them in place(noting going to use super glue or something that can't come off) I need something like the gum stuff stock? Also Should I paint the in side silver again? I have mouse homes in both taillights. Also when I took them out of the car I drop one and cracked it. I'm glad I bought 3 pairs off ebay..

While you have the housings apart, sand the inside silver areas with 1500 grit sandpaper, and spray with chrome spray paint. I did this on mine, and it makes the taillights brighter.

Also polish the outside of the lenses.

You need a new 83-93 TAILLIGHT LENS BUTLE install kit. $20

50resto.com
Part Number: HDW-13450K
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com

This is the butle strips you will need, be sure and set the clips strong, and make sure the butle seals well.

Tie the lense to the housing very tightly with a rope or bungee cords, and let it seal for at least 24hrs.

Rushing these steps will only lead to dumb leaks, and moisture bulidup inside the lenses.

I would repaint the reflectors. You can get the replacement glue sticky stuff and clips from 50resto.com

From this site: http://www.techguys.ca/howto/polish_lenses.html

You need 2000 Grit sandpaper, and Meguiars plastic polish.

You have to carefully pry them apart, working from the inside towards the outer edges. The clips will actually bend in most cases so new ones are a must, unless you want pre stressed clips holding your lenses on.

People have been known to steal lenses from Fox cars, so I would advise using an epoxy sealant to permanently seal those bad dudes on. Epoxy sealant also ensures 100% leak protection.

Just know that you can't change your lenses after that step.

you can just go get vinyl pin stripes at most any car place and make them really quick....also 1/8 sounds a little thick....i think 3/32 would be better...yes there is a difference
