Tailpipes... let's see them :)

When I started looking for just tail pipes pipes Mac was one of the only companies that offered it.. well least that my local shop could find.. and only in 2.5" with 2.5" tips.. I will say the mac pipes are awesome and fit really well. The best part is they are chromed all the way to the muffler.

I have the mac Chrome tails.... won't ever buy them again. I love the look of them, but mine started rusting the day I had them installed. I'm going to go with turndowns as soon as these start looking real bad.

Where are they rusting? Ive had mine a few weeks and no problems in the pipes or on the outside...

snoozer...Nice work on that sweep...

I cut mine back some, 4" and I think that itself looks better...they used to hang to far out for me...

Started on the top side.... now it's on the bottom side as well. Luckily the sides (which are what people see are still fairly clean and still look good. It's all on the outside - like the chrome is too thin??? All I know is I wasted good mod money. (I had chrome wheels and wanted to match them) - now I have the black bullitts and will definately be going with turn downs when these are too ugly to keep.

BTW - I've tried every chrome polish thing on the market, wax included. While they do HELP - they go right back to rust. I should probably take some pics to explain it better.

im gonna go hose mine down with WD40 right now LOL... I would write MAC about the problem and if mine do it ill write them also.. maybe then they will change how the pipes are chrome dipped... chrome pipes should not rust like that. I had chrome magnaflows but then got dumps... gave the magnaflows to a freind who still has them over a year later... and NO rust at all.
