Hi all!

Well I'm taking my Cobra in for the Tranny fix on the guid tube....that "Fixes the in-ability to shift into 3rd and 5th smoothly"...no cost.

While I'm there should I have them do anything with the tranny fluid? i.e. replace it with something better? Reason I ask is that I have several people say don't replace the tranny fluid with anything BUT Ford suggested.

I'm getting the oil changed as well. My Cobra is a commuter so I travel about 80 miles a week day in her or more. She is now at near 2.7k so I'm changing her out. What kind of oil my fine Stang friends!

I will have them put it in while it's there...or shoot I will do it at home on the ramps..

Oil filter ????

Thanks :)

Eric

I'm switching to Mobil1 0W-20 synthetic on the next change, got about 5500 miles on it right now. It's probably broken in nicely, I play a bit rough :).

If I ever have occasion to replace the tranny fluid, I'll go with synchromesh.
