Taking red stripe off on top of ground effects

I have a 91 gt vert and it has that stupid red stripe around the top of the ground effects. Is it possible to take it off? Or does anyone have any ideas on how to take it off?

Do you have any pictures of what you're talking about? It might peel off if it's just stuck on. My car had a painted on pin stripe when I bought it, and I just wet sanded it off and buffed it.

When I took off my stupid stripe it was right before I painted my car. Mine was the tape looking one with the adhesive. I peeled it off with the help of a heat gun. I figure that there is no way to get all the adhesive left over so it is going to take chemicals to get all of that off which might eat your paint. Since I was painting my car the next weekend I used reducer which took it right off. Before that I tried goo gone which didnt do anything. I hope this helps and havent left you confused.
