tallest gear in 8.8??

my question is...will a 456 or even 488 ring and pinion gear be to much strain or be extremely weak in an 8.8 rear end?? The vehicle in question is a lifted 2000 F-150 with 37" tires..and an 8.8 rear (4.2 v-6, 5-speed)...how would this work any problems??
 
i wouldn't worry much about the rear because it should be fine , for i have seen 35s on rangers with 7.5s

the IFS is what i would worry about if you do alot of hardcore off roading(rock crawling) you will probally break something. for mud of normal driving it will probally be OK
