Tan Oil..

I have an 89 gt and it runs pretty fine , but the oil is starting to look very tanish , Is there anywhere i should be looking for a leak where waters draining in somewhere , newbie . any help Thanks...

a milky tan? or is the new oil just getting darker? if its milky, first guess would be a head gasket.....

Yes thats exactly what it is a mikly tan , So the head gaskets you say . ill replace them and hopefully its back to normal.. Thanks alot for you response man ..and NICE CAR by the way

Could also be just the intake gaskets, letting water seep into the lifter valley?

or the pcv valve is pluged and you are getting excessive moisture....my truck did this to me. check that and check the coolant system by doing a pressure test

Recommend a pressure test before any gasket replacements.. Thanks alot...

you could even take the plugs out and pressure test it and see if coolant is getting in 1 of the cyls....or let sit with pressure on it for a few hours and with the plugs out get a friend to crank the car over (with the pressure tester off) and look to see if any coolant come out of any spark plug holes.

definately. i was just saying, more often than not, coolant in the oil is from a blown hg. I'd check everything i could before tearing it apart.

Deffinitly thats the cheapest way at first lol, and if so the other effect any effect on the plugs ? Thanks again ...
