theyre all the same. i have the FRPP one and compared it to a TA one before i put it on, and the only difference was the name laser etched on the girdle.

its amazing how many aftermarket parts are all made by the same people.

I had a MAC one on my 98 GT and it was fine too, it was the cheapest one I found. I think it was $100.

I've got the TA girdle. If you are lowered, watch for clearance issues. On highway bumps mine was hitting the spare tire well in the bottom of the trunk. I used a hammer to depress it for clearance.

I had one of the adjustment screws on my TA Girdle back out on me and lost alot of fluid...cost me a rear diff and a set of gears. I put loctite on it now and check it more frequently. Wasn't all bad since i upgraded to an Auburn Pro and 31 spline axles.

Same here,most painful thing i had to do to my stang!

This is the newer model with low profile .

Thanks for head up , I have blue and red Threadlocker. Red is stronger so I will use that one.

Got it today, will install on sunday. What is the torque spec for bolts ?

the torque specs should be included with the inctructions. can you please post them up because i lost the paper that came with mine and i will be doing a diff/gear swap soon.

It did says on gridle instructions
25ft/lb for mounting bolts and 5 ft/lb for load bolts

sweet thanks, im ordering a Torsen T-2R, and 3.73 gears soon. plus im gonna try to figure out how to fabricate a diff fluid cooler setup. im getting a nice raise at work, so i can afford to make my 98 a track car and buy a DD.

I have 2 qts or royal purple 75w140 oil and I think it's enough. Don't know how much did I put last time I change mine, with the T/A Griddle do you think 2 qts is ok ?

Yes, I think 2 quarts will be sufficient.
