I just bought a 01 GT about a month ago and I believe all it has is a bbk cold air intake. I was thinking about getting the 75mm or 80mm throttle bodies for it but I don't know what will fit with my stock setup. What MM should I get and also what other things do I need if I get that? like plenum, spacers comp chip etc. I am new to mustangs and am not very engine smart...

I saw some ford racing ones and mac ones on the pep boys website, are those good?

go to modulardepot.com to see Matt's comparo of different TB and plenums. I chose a 70mm tb because at low rpm with minimal mods you can loose some low end torque. But with the 70mm tb and accufab plenum there is a net positive increase in hp and trq along the entire curve. If you only add a tb without a plenum you will have a net loss at the very bottom. I belive the bbk cai will accept the 75mm tb. I have mine with the stock inlet tubing now, as I don't like metal cai's due to heat. I may get a densecharger at some point in time. Spacers are crap.

I bought the Accufab combination, but went with 75 mm. It is true that the 70 mm combination gained 1.62 more hp on a stock GT but I don't plan to stay stock. For inlet pipes, I went with the C & L TrueFlow pipe. There was a definate SOTP improvement over the stock corrugated tube. I check it for heat all the time and it always feels cool. The cast aluminum must really resist the heat.

only half way decent post i've seen in this thread.

you better not get that 75mm TB without getting an aftermarket upper intake manifold (plenum). Putting a 75mm TB on a stock setup lowers intake velocity of air coming in the intake manifold thus resulting in loss of power.
