TB butterfly position at WOT?

when it is at WOT is the butterfly inside the throttle body supposed to be all the way opened? from what ive seen when looking at mine it is not even coming close to that, is this right?

Well if the plate was not 90 degrees from its closed position at wot then it would be a restriction to air flow.

My plate offers no restriction btw.

Is there supposed to be restriction to airflow though, thats what i cant figure out, if im being robbed or not

Well you really don't want any restriction to air flow through the motor.

In a nutshell, that is what mods to the motor is all about, more air flowing through the motor. A little extra fuel to go along with that improved air flow is always a good thing also.

Should be wide open. Straight accross to allow the most air possible to enter.

Should be wide open @ wide open throttle

My TB plate isn't at 90 degrees at WOT, but it does aim up towards the elbow wich helps direct air up that 2-3" jump.
