The other day when I had my intake tube off to get to header bolts, I ran my finger inside the TB (it's a Ford Racing 70mm hooked up to a 70mm Accufab Plenum) out of curiosity. I found that there is a gap between where the TB opens up to the Plenum. It seems that, just by feel, the plenum opening is bigger than the TB. Is this normal or should they line up perfectly? or did I get screwed somehow when I bought the TB/plenums a couple of years ago.

did they give you a gasket to put in between them, they should line up perfectly unless you have it upside down lol. Even my professional products one fit perfectly and everyone calls them cheap chia parts

They line up just right and I have a gasket for it, it just seems like the TB opening is smaller than the plenum opening, even though they should both be 70mm. I never really measured the openings but I guess that would be one way to check

I'm pretty certain the Accufab plenum's TB opening is able to handle 70 or 75mm TBs - I don't think they make 2 different products / sizes.

Ah, that would make sense because I just came back inside from measuring/checking/comparing with my old stock TB and the plenum opening measures right at 75mm.

What still gets me is that the 70mm FRPP TB and stock TB intake openings are both the same exact diameter. The 70mm FRPP opening that goes into the plenum however is at 70mm. Are the accufab TB 70mm front and back?

Sorry to bump this up but, I did more research and I found that the plenums are all 75mm openings apparently. What I really need to know is, do the 75 mm accufab plenums measure 75mm in diameter at the opening (before the throttle plate) or only after or where it hooks up to the plenum.

My FRPP 70mm TB is 65 mm at the opening and 70mm where it hooks up to the plenum. Would I even benefit anymore with a 75mm accufab besides looks?

I "think" the Accufab plenum is made for the 75mm and not the 70. The 70 is an option but will give you that gap you mention.
