Hey, I need your help guys. I've used the search and read up on throttle bodies and it seems a lightly modded engine would only need like 65mm TB. Well, locally, a guy is selling a 75mm and a C&L Upper Plenum and I was wondering if I should act on it. I only want to offer him like 250-275 dollars based on that it's 330 on Brenspeed. I'd just really appreciate the help because I'm still learning about engines and I'm not sure if this is something I want to do, I just don't want to lose out on a good deal.

Thanks alot.

and this would be my first engine mod.

Go for it, I have a 75mm TB and ported plenum. It made a difference in throttle response, and it helped it pull smoother and a little harder on the top end.

75mm is overkill, but at least if you go big in the future its there...

Cool, thank you. Is there anything else I'll need for this or is it just a bolt on?

The guy is also offering some Tein lowering springs and shocks which I was initially interested in but I don't think I want such an aggressive drop for a DD.

TB/Plenum is worth it if you end up going forced induction (blower, turbo, nitrous) later down the road - but NA it's not gonna help all that much, especially on a stock head/cam car. I got my tb/plenum BRAND NEW for only $170

Don't do the tein stuff, they don't make anything good for our cars.

Thanks for your help man! Yeah, my ultimate goal is to go blown or a good NA build up.

Yeah, I was kind of iffy on the tein stuff. I've only seen those springs on ebay for cheap.
