I'm at 0' BTDC on the damper and I've moved the rotor on the distributor until the cap is contacting on pole #1. The intake and exhaust lifters on #1 are fully depressed. I just poked through the sparkplug hole with a screwdriver on #1 and it feels like the piston is right there!

With what I've done so far, I'm thinking the #1 piston is right at TDC and my ignition timing is 0. Does this sound correct?

I'm getting ready to install my new 1.7 RRs and I want to make sure the #1 cyl is at TDC.

good deal. I just guessed and took a stab at it thinking it made a little sense.

Before I initially start it, should I give it a least 10* base timing instead of 0* timing?
